As special as Oregano is, it is highly used today to flavor our foods. 4oz of fresh goat cheese, romano cheese, crumbled 2Tbsp Freshly picked and chopped oregano leaves A 1/4 cup of toasted pecans lightly chopped. Preparation Procedure; Cut stems and leaves to a few inches of the beets and hand wash to remove any dirt. you can now place your beets in a pot for steaming. Remember to check not to over boil and get too soft. You can steam for over 30 minutes to 45 minutes, which should depend on the beet sizes. But you can always use a sharp object or paring knife to try an easy penetration. When ready, cool them off for easy handling but should be at least warm. Peel the skin and trim nicely and cut the beets smoothly to get thick wedges. You can then place the beets in a serving dish. Drizzle with your balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Followed with several pinches of salt and your black pepper. Sprinkle the freshly chopped Oregano, your goat cheese, and pecans on the beets. You are ready to serve.
